2026 AWPA Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting is next month! The room block closes on April 6, and rooms in both the Embassy Suites and Doubletree are going fast. Available King rooms are already limited at the Embassy, but have no fear, the Doubletree is right across the road, and every bit as warm and welcoming. Breakfast will be offered at both hotels for guests registered in the AWPA room block. Be sure to check out the rooftop bars and restaurants during your visit--the Doubletree rooftop bar has one of the best sunset views in the whole city!
Registration closes on April 10 and will only be offerred on-site on a space-available basis....don't miss out!
The AWPA Annual Meeting arrangements committee is putting together an excellent technical program and social events for the 2026 Annual Meeting, a list of sessions and speakers is available on the meeting webpage.
Student Travel Fellowship Fund Contributions
Each year, AWPA is able to pay travel costs for several students to attend the meeting and present their current research. Some of these students have been hired by organizations in the industry after graduation. Please help support our students by contributing to the Student Travel Fellowship Fund. You can contact us at +1-205-733-4077 to request an invoice, or you can contribute during the registration process
2025/2025 General Election
Initial ballot notices for the election of AWPA Officers, Executive Committee members, and Nominating Committee members for 2026-2027 have been e-mailed to each AWPA member. If you are an AWPA member in good standing and did not receive a ballot by e-mail, please let us know and we will make sure you're on the distribution list. Remember, ballots must be received on or before Friday, April 3, 2026 to be counted.
Current Standards Activity
All Technical Committee standardization activities were completed in December and the Executive Committee performed a procedural and legal review, taking their final action at the meeting on January 21, 2026. All promulgated revisions and reaffirmations will be published in the 2026 AWPA Book of Standards. For more information and to review the public listing of all submitted proposals, visit the Standards Activity Page on our website.

Looking Ahead: 2026 AWPA Book of Standards
The 2026 Book of Standards will be released in Asheville on April 27, 2026!
We will have a limited number available to purchase on-site, or you can order a copy to be shipped after the Annual Meeting.
As a non-profit standards development organization, the proceeds from Book of Standards sales provide much-needed funding for our standards development process. Every treating plant, laboratory, specifier, and inspector should have a current edition on-hand, so please be sure to purchase updated copies each year to ensure you are following the most up-to-date standards and to help AWPA cover the cost of standards development.

For a limited time after launch, the digital version will be available for the same price as the print version.
