Association Membership
Why should I join AWPA?
Professionals in the academic, building supply, construction, electrical, government, marine, and railroad industries all benefit from membership in AWPA. Members have the opportunity to become actively involved in the development of treatment and inspection standards. The result is longer service life for your organization’s wood products. Members also establish valuable peer contacts in the industry while sharing interests and problems in the wood preserving industry.
Members Only Website
AWPA members have exclusive access to a portion of the website which is designed to make communication between members efficient and effective. Members may log in to view committee meeting minutes and annual reports, a complete member directory, papers presented at the AWPA annual meetings, and other members-only information - a feature not offered to the general public.
Meetings
The AWPA organizes annual meetings for the general membership each Spring, and semi-annual technical committee meetings in Spring and Fall. AWPA members are entitled to substantially reduced registration fees for these meetings.
Publications
Each year, AWPA publishes its Proceedings which cover presentations made at the the Annual Meeting. AWPA members in good standing have online access to the Proceedings in the password-protected member pages of the AWPA website. AWPA also publishes its annual Book of Standards each year, and this publication is available to members at deeply discounted rates.
