AWPA Membership
AWPA could not continue to produce the world's most comprehensive set of wood preservation standards without the diligent efforts of its members. Our members are people who are knowledgeable in the manufacture, use, inspection, and engineering of treated wood products, as well as scientists and technologists in the field of wood preservation.
Association Membership:
Membership in AWPA is open to all persons who support the objects and purposes of the Association. Regular AWPA members are entitled to all of the benefits of membership, including discounted meeting registration fees and reduced prices for publications. AWPA membership is restricted to individual persons, and not to organizations or other entities. Click here for additional information.
Technical Committee Membership:
Committee membership is open to persons who are committed to actively participating in the efforts of the Technical Committees. After applying for technical committee membership and subsequent approval by the AWPA Committee on Committees, one may become a committee member. Due to the fact that AWPA is a consensus-based standards writing body, all Technical Committees must adhere to balance requirements. Therefore, voting membership on a technical committee may be delayed until such time as admission would not cause an imbalance of interests on a given committee. If this is the case, the member would be granted voting alternate status. It is important to note that neither AWPA membership nor committee membership is required for attendance or participation at AWPA Technical Committee Meetings. Click here for additional information.
