Welcome to Orlando! The AWPA Fall Technical Meeting is going to be held at the fabulous Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista. The hotel itself offers six on-site dining options and two pools and is just a short stroll across the skyway to Disney Springs. After a long day of writing standards, you are only steps away from dining, shopping, and entertainment. There are over 70 dining options in Disney Springs from ice cream and light lunches to drinks with relaxed dinners or high-end chef-crafted meals.
For those of you bringing families who want to experience Disney Magic, this hotel does offer shuttle service to the parks, and the concierge is at the ready to help with purchasing tickets. If you are not in the Disney mood, have no fear, this is not a Disney Resort, so you are unlikely to see Mickey Mouse wandering the halls followed by a parade of overly sugared children. There are some Disney touches, but overall, this is a high-end business hotel providing AWPA with a remarkable price for a home away from home for the week.

The AWPA negotiated room rate is $174 plus applicable taxes. The hotel has lowered its daily resort fee to $25, but this is an optional fee and you will be offered the chance to opt-out at check-in (the resort fee provides movie rentals, bottled water, a $5 discount on attraction tickets, breakfast for children 5 and under and discounts at Avis and Disney Golf Courses). The hotel is offering 24-hour self parking to AWPA guests for $17.50 a day.

Meeting Registration
Registration is open to any person who wishes to attend the meetings and abide by the AWPA Technical Committee Regulations, Antitrust Compliance Policy, and AWPA Event Code of Conduct Policy. AWPA members, however, may register at discounted rates. If you are a non-member and wish to join AWPA so that you may take advantage of the member rate, please click here for more information on applying for AWPA membership.
Registration entitles one to attend all committee meetings, task group meetings, and the evening receptions. (Your spouse and/or guests must register at the special spouse/guest rate to attend the receptions, but not any committee meetings.) Meals and lodging are not included. Please note that registering for the meeting does not reserve a room for you at the hotel. You must make your hotel reservations individually.
Registration Fees for in-person participation are as follows:
- Early Registration: Payment received on or before August 7 (Members $430, Non-members $585)
- Pre-Registration: Payment received August 8-August 28 (Members $530, Non-members $685)
- On-site registration: September 7-11, 2025 (Members $620, Non-members $775)
- Spouse/Guest Registration ($90)

Proposals are found in the Standards Development Portal (member login required), and summaries of proposals are found on each committee's web page. Please contact email@awpa.com if you need the current link to the membership pages. Meeting agendas are also posted to each committee's web page as soon as they are received from the committee chairs.
NOTE: Meetings will NOT begin prior to their posted time - you must be present at roll call for each committee you're a member of in order for your vote(s) to be considered and to possibly maintain your voting status for the current cycle.
